Snow Dunes

Snow drifts add texture to the flat surface of Mendenhall Lake near Juneau. You can not only drive very close to Mendenhall Glacier, but can walk across the frozen lake to the face of the glacier and listen to the creaking of the moving ice.....if you dare.
