Horizons

Just minutes from downtown Sitka is Harbor Mountain Road, built during the Depression during the military build up prior to WWII.

At the top, after a steep, but relatively short hike, are some of the most beautiful, panoramic views in the area.

I agree with pixie, you do have beautiful photos. I too am glad to have stumbled across this site, especially since I'm writing an entire book series based in Sitka. I've got a pretty good idea of the place now but those photos just enhance my knowledge. I've never been to Alaska but I'd love to, especially Sitka. Keep snapping shots because they're really good. Bye.
